The Republic of Tajikistan is a non-coastal country in Central Asia. Neighbors are Afghanistan in the south, Uzbekistan in the west, Kyrgyzstan in the north and China in the east. In the country where the largest ethnic group is Tajik, there are also Uzbeks who are living in the region. Area; 143,100 km2. Its capital is Dushanbe.
Agriculture is the first in the economy of Tajikistan. The main agricultural product is cotton. Most of the cotton cultivation is done with watering. In addition, grapes, sesame, wheat, barley, melon, vegetables are grown. Livestock also plays an important role in the national economy. Ovine livestock breeding and silkworm are common. Flower cultivation is common. Mining, hydroelectric power generation, oil extraction and cotton processing are the main industries. In addition, food processing machines, chemical materials and carpets have an important place in the industry. In addition to light industry branches such as production of knitted goods, silk fabrics, carpets, power transformers and cables as well as medium and heavy industry branches such as agricultural equipment production.
